Making a Wrapped Loop![]()

Basic Wrapped Loop
1. Hold your round nose pliers at chest level so you are looking down at the tips.

2. Insert your wire at the point where the desired loop size will be made.

3. Wire should be perpendicular to the pliers with the bead at a distance from the plier jaws. The more space, the more wrapping you will do.

4. Push the beads to the opposite side of the pliers and push the tail to where the beads just were, stopping when a 90o angle is formed.

5. Remove the wire from the pliers. If your loop looks like a "P," grab inside the loop with the tips of your pliers and bend away from the curve to make the loop stand up.

6. Grab the loop in your flat nose pliers so that the bead end is perpendicular and the tail is parallel to the jaws.

7. Begin wrapping the tail around the stem until you reach the bead. Only wrap the tail, do not twist both ends together like a twist-tie.

8. Trim off the excess wire and use your flat nose pliers to gently push the end of the tail into line with the coil.
