Multistrand Projects

Ending Multistrand Necklaces or Bracelets

1. A multistrand clasp is an easy way to end any necklace or bracelet that has two or more strands. Simply crimp one strand to each loop of the clasp.

2. If you have more strands than your clasp allows for, crimp more than one strand to the bottom-most loop(s) of the clasp. Make sure your ending beads are small enough to fit close to each other at the crimp to prevent unseemly puckering.

3. A large single strand clasp, like a toggle or hook, is an adequate clasping option when you're
using small beads at the end of your strands. Crimp each strand individually for more strength, or allow two strands to share a crimp to keep the size down.

4. Learn how to use cones to hide the ends of your strands!

Using Spacer Bars

1. Use spacer bars to help keep strands apart. By making each strand slightly longer than the previous and using the spacer bars, you will achieve a broad collar appearance.

2. Use spacer bars in a bracelet to create a cuff! Make each strand equal in length.
